A specialty infusion pharmacy is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician for a contract opportunity based in Orange County, CA. This role offers an immediate start and a 13-week assignment with potential to transition to a permanent position. The position works Monday through Friday during day shifts, providing an excellent schedule for work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter patient demographics, insurance details, and type prescription labels accurately.
- Process medication refills and manage billing claims and authorization requests.
- Label and package injectable medications, oral/topical products, and ancillary supplies per patient orders.
- Prepare shipping documentation, coordinate shipments, and confirm deliveries with patients.
- Reconcile shipments with packing slips; receive and unpack medications efficiently.
- Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of the IV room, adhering to USP <797> standards and company policies.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through clear verbal, written, and in-person communication.
- Support the integrity of the 340B program and assist with additional pharmacy operations as needed.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician license.
- Minimum of one year of experience in hospital, ambulatory care, or infusion pharmacy settings.
- Familiarity with IV preparation and handling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
- Local candidates preferred to ensure timely onboarding.
