Pharmacy Technician in Visalia, CA

A specialty infusion pharmacy in Orange County is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented pharmacy technician for a contract role with an ASAP start. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule on day shifts for approximately 13 weeks with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

• Enter patient demographics and insurance details accurately.
• Type prescription labels and process medication refills.
• Submit billing claims and authorization requests efficiently.
• Label and package injectable, oral, topical medications, and ancillary supplies according to patient orders.
• Prepare shipping documentation, coordinate shipments, and confirm deliveries with patients.
• Reconcile shipments against packing slips and unpack medications upon receipt.
• Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of the IV room following USP <797> standards and company policies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through verbal, written, and in-person communication.
• Support the integrity of the 340B program and assist with other pharmacy operations tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in hospital, ambulatory care, or infusion pharmacy settings.
• Hands-on experience with intravenous (IV) medications and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Local candidates preferred for immediate availability.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, day shifts.
