Immediate opportunity available for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to support prescription fulfillment in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. This contract role is based in Eastpointe, Michigan, with a term from ASAP through the end of the year and potential for extension. Work Monday through Friday, 10:00am – 6:30pm shifts, focusing on critical medication packaging and distribution tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fill and label prescriptions accurately, including long-term care (LTC) packaging such as multi-dose punch cards and pouch packaging.
  • Operate packaging equipment and ensure production runs are completed on schedule and without errors.
  • Check in and reconcile medication exchanges from healthcare facilities.
  • Process returned medications and manage credit applications.
  • Receive daily wholesaler orders, organize and stock shelves, rotate stock to maintain freshness, and support inventory control.
  • Pull products, scan National Drug Codes (NDCs), and prepare prescriptions for final pharmacist verification.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active and clear pharmacy technician license valid in Michigan.
  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Experience in closed-door pharmacies or long-term care settings is preferred but not required.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • No prior experience with Frameworks software required—willingness and ability to learn new systems quickly is essential.
