Join a dynamic healthcare environment as a Pharmacy Technician supporting a behavioral health facility in Waukegan, IL. This per diem opportunity offers the chance to contribute to quality patient care by ensuring timely and accurate medication distribution in a fast-paced setting with an average daily census of 145 and handling up to 400 scripts daily.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill and deliver medications to patient units.
  • Utilize the HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation technology; training provided.
  • Participate in a 2-3 day training and orientation program before starting.
  • Maintain compliance with facility dress code and professional standards.
  • Adapt to coverage needs, including 6am-4pm shifts with potential for extended hours and some weekend coverage.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license is required.
  • Ability to walk up to 10,000 steps per day, supporting active medication delivery.
  • Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems.
  • Local candidates preferred due to immediate start and ongoing shift coverage.
  • Adherence to dress code: scrubs (black/gray) or business casual; closed-toed shoes; natural hair colors; professional appearance without jeans or inappropriate accessories.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Approximately 2-3 shifts weekly through July.
  • Coverage primarily 6am to 4pm, with possible extended days.
  • Weekend shifts may be required.
