This pharmacy technician position offers an opportunity to work in an inpatient setting with a focus on delivering quality pharmaceutical care. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and effective communication to support the healthcare team in providing safe and efficient medication management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Accurately interpret and enter medication orders using Cerner EMR
- Assist with intravenous (IV) medication preparation, if applicable
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to support patient care plans
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license and national certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Experience with IV medication preparation is a significant advantage
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records system
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule:
- (2) 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM shifts every other weekend
- (2) 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM overnight shifts Monday through Thursday
Location: West Chester, Ohio
This is a 13-week contract position starting on June 14. Candidates should be prepared to work the specified shifts and bring a proactive approach to supporting the pharmacy department.
