Pharmacy Technician - West Chester, PA

A pharmacy technician role is available in West Chester, PA, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a dedicated professional with sterile compounding expertise. This position plays a critical role in ensuring medication safety and compliance through precise compounding and accurate prescription processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere strictly to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines for both sterile and non-sterile compounding, supported by ongoing training and competency evaluations.
• Accurately interpret prescriptions and input orders into the pharmacy system.
• Prepare and compound medications according to established formulas under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in preparing formula log sheets and maintain proper documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Accurately measure, mix, package, and label compounded medications.
• Manage inventory, maintaining adequate stock levels of ingredients, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Support batch compounding, product labeling, and verify log entries for accuracy.
• Ensure timely fulfillment and preparation of compounded prescriptions for shipment or patient pickup.
• Maintain meticulous records of compounded products and document all work performed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Demonstrated sterile compounding experience is required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
