Pharmacy Technician in West Chicago, IL

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician with expertise in inpatient hospital pharmacy operations and sterile compounding. This contract position is based in West Chicago, IL, and offers a 13-week assignment with intent for hire, providing a pathway to permanent employment.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Rotating shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, and 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Rotating weekends required

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inpatient pharmacy technician duties supporting clinical operations
• Compound sterile batches according to established protocols within the clean room environment
• Prepare and maintain crash carts accurately
• Operate Omnicell and AutoCart systems to fill medication orders efficiently
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all compounding activities

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience
• Proficiency in sterile compounding techniques
• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license
• PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification
