Per Diem Pharmacy Technician - West Sacramento, California

A per diem opening is available for experienced pharmacy technicians to support busy retail locations throughout the greater Sacramento area, including nearby Lodi and Stockton. This role requires reliability and a strong work ethic to help maintain efficient pharmacy operations on a flexible schedule.

Candidates must bring at least 1-2 years of high-volume retail pharmacy technician experience and demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills. The position offers consistent weekly work, with shifts available during days, evenings, and weekends. Mileage reimbursement is provided for those traveling more than 30 miles from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties such as answering phones, data entry, label printing, and prescription filling/dispensing
• Operate cash registers and manage inventory control, including processing takebacks
• Engage with customers and team members clearly and professionally
• Assist with maintaining workflow efficiency in a fast-paced environment
• Participate in a brief training program at designated stores

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume retail setting
• Valid California pharmacy technician license; PTCB certification if applicable
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Reliable availability to work at least 3-4 days per week or more

Schedule:

• Days, evenings, and weekends are available on a per diem basis, with flexibility

• Pharmacies in and around West Sacramento, CA, including the greater Sacramento region, Lodi, and Stockton
