Outpatient Pharmacy Technician | Westerville, Ohio

A hospital outpatient pharmacy is seeking four certified pharmacy technicians to support their team. This contract role offers a valuable opportunity for candidates with recent inpatient experience to contribute in a fast-paced healthcare environment using Cerner EMR.

Location: Westerville, OH
Contract Duration: 13 weeks beginning July 26

Schedule:

• Two positions: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, every other weekend
• Two positions: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Thursday (overnights)

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and process prescriptions in an outpatient hospital setting
• Support medication distribution and inventory management
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure patient safety
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical records system for order processing and documentation
• Assist with IV preparations as needed (IV experience preferred)
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and safety standards

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience required
• Current Ohio pharmacy technician license
• National pharmacy technician certification (e.g., PTCB or equivalent)
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work rotating weekend and overnight shifts as specified
