A hospital outpatient pharmacy is seeking four certified pharmacy technicians to support their team. This contract role offers a valuable opportunity for candidates with recent inpatient experience to contribute in a fast-paced healthcare environment using Cerner EMR.
Location: Westerville, OH
Contract Duration: 13 weeks beginning July 26
Schedule:
- Two positions: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, every other weekend
- Two positions: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Thursday (overnights)
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process prescriptions in an outpatient hospital setting
- Support medication distribution and inventory management
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure patient safety
- Utilize Cerner electronic medical records system for order processing and documentation
- Assist with IV preparations as needed (IV experience preferred)
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and safety standards
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience required
- Current Ohio pharmacy technician license
- National pharmacy technician certification (e.g., PTCB or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work rotating weekend and overnight shifts as specified
Additional Details:
- This is a contract role with all hours billable
- Local candidates preferred; no geographic restrictions
