Join a specialty retail pharmacy dedicated to supporting complex patients managing multiple daily medications. This Temp-to-Hire opportunity offers an engaging role for an experienced Pharmacy Technician skilled in handling challenging medication regimens and providing exceptional patient care.

Location: Westerville, OH
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No weekends)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks initial, with potential for permanent hire based on performance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill and dispense medications for patients with chronic, complex conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis
  • Utilize strong communication skills with compassion to assist Medicare/Medicaid and low-income patients, many with limited health literacy
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure medication safety and adherence
  • Navigate pharmacy software, preferably Pioneer Rx (training available)
  • Maintain strict compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven retail or specialty pharmacy technician experience, especially serving patients with chronic illnesses—please highlight this explicitly on your resume
  • Solid knowledge of the top 200-400 retail medications and their uses
  • Exceptional interpersonal and patient communication skills to engage and educate vulnerable patient populations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
