A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician with a solid background in inpatient pharmacy settings. This role requires at least one year of recent inpatient experience, with IV preparation skills considered a strong advantage. Candidates must possess an active Ohio pharmacy technician license and national certification.
Location: Westerville, OH
Schedule:
- Two shifts every other weekend from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
- Monday through Thursday overnight shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications in an inpatient setting
- Assist pharmacists with medication distribution and inventory management
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Utilize Cerner EMR system for medication orders and documentation
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician License
- National certification for Pharmacy Technicians
- Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Experience with intravenous (IV) medication preparation is preferred
- Proficiency in using Cerner electronic medical records system
