A Pharmacy Technician role is available in Westerville, OH, offering a 13-week contract opportunity starting June 14. This position requires a minimum of one year of recent inpatient experience, with proficiency in IVs considered a strong advantage. Candidates must hold a valid Ohio license and possess national certification.
Schedule/Hours:
- Two shifts of 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM every other weekend
- Two overnight shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Thursday
Responsibilities include accurately preparing and dispensing medications in an inpatient setting, supporting pharmacists in managing medication therapy, and interacting with electronic medical records using Cerner software to ensure precise documentation and medication tracking. Attention to detail and compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards are essential.
Desired Experience / Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience
- Ohio pharmacy technician license
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (e.g., PTCB)
- Familiarity with intravenous (IV) medication preparation preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR system
