This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician with a focus on inpatient care in a hospital setting. The position offers a contract assignment beginning on June 14th and lasting 13 weeks, providing a chance to work in a dynamic environment supporting patient medication management.
Schedule:
- Two shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. every other weekend
- Two overnight shifts from 9:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience
- Experience with intravenous (IV) medications is a plus
- Must hold a valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician license
- National certification is required
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records system
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, dispense, and manage medications according to hospital protocols and standards
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely medication administration
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety procedures, including IV preparation if applicable
- Document medication information appropriately in the Cerner EMR system
