Pharmacy Technician - Westerville, Ohio

A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician with strong inpatient experience. This 13-week assignment begins on 6/14 and is located in Westerville, OH. The role involves working in a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment, supporting the preparation and dispensing of medications. Candidates must be licensed in Ohio and hold national certification.

Schedule:

• (2) 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM shifts, working every other weekend
• (2) 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM overnight shifts, Monday through Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately preparing and dispensing medications in accordance with hospital protocols
• Supporting medication inventory and ensuring proper storage
• Assisting with intravenous (IV) preparations (experience a plus)
• Collaborating with pharmacists and clinical staff using Cerner EMR for medication orders documentation
• Maintaining compliance with pharmacy laws and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience
• Valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician license required
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or equivalent) required
• Familiarity with intravenous medication preparation highly desirable
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
