Pharmacy Technician | Westerville, Ohio

An experienced Pharmacy Technician is needed for a contract position supporting a specialty retail pharmacy serving complex patients who manage multiple medications daily. This role offers potential contract-to-hire based on performance.

Location: Westerville, OH
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (no weekends)
Duration: 8-week contract with possibility to extend

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis.
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients who have complex medication regimens and may have low literacy levels.
• Utilize pharmacy software to manage prescriptions and patient information, with prior experience in Pioneer Rx preferred but not required.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proven retail pharmacy technician experience, ideally within a specialty pharmacy setting.
• Strong knowledge of the top 200-400 retail medications.
• Exceptional patient communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate patience and understanding toward patients managing chronic illnesses.
• Experience working with Medicare/Medicaid and low-income patient populations is highly valued.
• Candidate’s resume must explicitly highlight experience with chronic disease patient care.
