Pharmacy Technician in Winamac, IN

This role offers the opportunity to support a community retail pharmacy serving the Winamac, IN area with direct patient care and pharmacy operations. The position is ideal for an Indiana-licensed Pharmacy Technician seeking consistent hours and a collaborative work environment in a contract role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter prescription orders into the PioneerRx system (experience preferred)
• Assist customers at the register while providing friendly, professional service
• Support pharmacy staff with daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow
• Cover shifts on a rotating Saturday schedule (every other Saturday, 9am-6pm)
• Potential to cross-train and provide coverage at a nearby sister facility in Francesville, IN

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Indiana Pharmacy Technician license required
• Prior retail pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Certification (PTCB) required for coverage at the sister site
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to perform well independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Local candidates preferred due to site-specific training and onboarding

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm (40 hours per week)
• Every other Saturday coverage, 9am to 6pm

Additional Information:

• Three days of paid orientation and training prior to starting
• Dress code is business casual
• Working within a pharmacy team consisting of a Manager, Pharmacist, and Technicians
• Contract position ongoing until permanent staff is hired
