Pharmacy Technician - Winamac, Indiana

An opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacy Technician in Winamac, IN, supporting a retail community pharmacy setting. This contract role offers steady hours with a structured schedule, providing valuable experience within a professional pharmacy team while supporting patient care through efficient order entry and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate order entry using PioneerRx (preferred experience)
• Assist customers with purchases and inquiries at the point of sale
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and pharmacy management
• Provide occasional coverage at a sister retail pharmacy location after training
• Participate in a 3-day orientation to learn site protocols and systems

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Indiana Pharmacy Technician license required
• Prior retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• PTCB certification needed for coverage at sister facility
• Comfortable working with pharmacy software systems, PioneerRx preferred
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills essential
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm, plus every other Saturday

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm
• Every other Saturday coverage, 9am-6pm

Work Environment:

• Retail pharmacy setting with a small professional team including a Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist, and Technicians
• Business casual dress code
• Local candidates only due to in-person training and scheduling needs

This position offers a consistent work schedule in a community-focused pharmacy setting with ongoing work through the permanent hire phase. Technician support at an additional location may be required once fully trained.
