This opportunity centers on supporting Long Term Care pharmacy operations as an Input Technician, a vital role responsible for managing patient order processing while ensuring strict compliance with Federal and State regulations. The position offers flexibility with options to work remotely, on-site, or in a hybrid setting for local candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter new and modified patient medication orders from the queue
  • Identify and process requests involving controlled substances per established protocols
  • Resolve insurance rejections by liaising with the billing team as necessary
  • Prioritize and triage medication routes and orders effectively
  • Communicate with care facilities to obtain missing information or issue dispense notifications
  • Answer inbound calls promptly, within the first three rings
  • Escalate undeliverable medication orders to the Pharmacist and notify relevant facilities under direction
  • Follow rigorous check policies to maintain dispensing accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with Back Counter staff regarding order updates and changes
  • Deliver professional and timely customer service during all interactions
  • Participate in all required meetings and training sessions

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proficiency with Framework software is essential
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Possession of a Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License; CPhT certification preferred
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
  • Strong typing skills with high accuracy and detail orientation
  • Ability to work independently and handle clerical tasks effectively
  • Adaptable to new processes and systems
  • Access to a quiet workspace with high-speed internet connectivity for remote work
