Support operations within a Long-Term Care pharmacy by accurately processing orders and maintaining compliance with federal and state laws. This full-time, 13-week contract-to-hire position offers flexibility with remote work—equipment will be provided—or the option for on-site or hybrid arrangements if local and desired.

Location:

  • Wisconsin Dells, WI (Remote, On-site, or Hybrid)

  • Long-Term Care Pharmacy

Schedule:

  • Full-time hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter new prescriptions and update patient profiles from the queue with precision
  • Identify controlled substance requests and process according to strict policies
  • Troubleshoot insurance rejections; coordinate with billing as necessary
  • Prioritize and triage medication routes and orders efficiently
  • Communicate with healthcare facilities to obtain missing information or report dispensing issues
  • Respond promptly to phone calls, answering within three rings
  • Alert Pharmacists and contact facilities regarding undispensed medication orders
  • Follow Absolute Check Policy rigorously to ensure safety and compliance
  • Collaborate with Back Counter staff to relay critical updates and changes
  • Deliver professional customer service promptly
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Proficient with Framework software (required)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • WI Pharmacy Technician License; Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience
  • Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy and detail orientation
  • Excellent organizational and clerical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving environments
  • Quiet workspace and reliable high-speed internet for remote work
