A dynamic opportunity is available for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to serve as a vital link between pharmacy operations and healthcare facilities across Maryland and Virginia. This direct hire role involves traveling to multiple sites, fostering strong partnerships, and ensuring superior pharmacy services within diverse clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between pharmacy and assigned facilities, collaborating closely with leadership and clinical staff.
- Support medication therapy management and compliance initiatives alongside clinical service directors.
- Address client inquiries and resolve concerns efficiently to maintain high service standards.
- Identify opportunities to introduce new services and optimize existing offerings.
- Conduct training sessions on pharmacy systems and medication management tailored to facility needs.
- Perform monthly onsite visits, compliance surveys, medication room inspections, and medication pass observations.
- Prepare facilities for audits and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with internal pharmacy teams to coordinate seamless client services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses for both Virginia and Maryland are required.
- PTCB certification is highly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy and working knowledge of medication distribution software (EMAR, Medbank, Frameworks) is beneficial.
- Reliable transportation with the ability to travel frequently within the region; occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with occasional flexible hours for audits.
- Approximately 40 hours per week; rare weekend work.
