A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to act as a key liaison between multiple healthcare facilities and the pharmacy in Southern Illinois. This role involves traveling within an assigned territory centered around Springfield, IL, serving as the primary contact for facility leadership and staff to ensure seamless medication management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with facility decision-makers, acting as the bridge between pharmacy services and client facilities.
  • Provide guidance on medication therapy and compliance in collaboration with clinical and pharmacy leadership.
  • Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and introduce opportunities for service expansion and new product offerings.
  • Conduct training sessions for facility staff on systems, startups, and medication management protocols.
  • Perform monthly onsite visits and prepare reports to support ongoing client success.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Support survey preparations and conduct medication cart/room inspections and pass observations as requested.
  • Collaborate closely with internal pharmacy teams to coordinate client services.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Must hold an Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
  • PTCB certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care settings is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks.
  • Reliable transportation required to visit multiple facilities within the territory, with flexibility for occasional overnight stays.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00am to 4:00pm.
  • Rare weekend work; flexibility for later audits as necessary.

This position is direct hire and requires the candidate to be local to the Southern Illinois area. Mileage and hotel accommodations for travel to assigned facilities will be covered.
