A direct hire opportunity is available for a Day Shift Production Pharmacy Technician in Bardonia, New York. This role is based in a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility, supporting the preparation and delivery of medications to residents in a high-volume environment averaging approximately 600 prescriptions per day.
The ideal candidate will be cross-trained in both dosage packaging and medication toting, utilizing the Frameworks software system—with training provided. This position operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with rotating weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure timely and accurate delivery to residents.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring proper storage conditions and expiration dates.
- Maintain accurate patient and medication records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth daily operations in a closed-door LTC setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year experience as a pharmacy technician.
- NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required.
- PTCB certification preferred but not required.
- Ability and willingness to learn new software systems related to pharmacy operations.
Shift and Schedule:
- Monday - Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Rotating weekend shifts
