Pharmacy Technician in Yonkers, NY

An opportunity is available for an Evening Shift Production Pharmacy Technician in a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This direct hire role is based in Bardonia, New York, involving specialized work in the dosage department. The ideal candidate will focus on preparing and packaging medications accurately for resident delivery while supporting inventory management and record maintenance.

Shift & Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday, Sunday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Days Off: Tuesday, Thursday
• Weekend work is required

Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications using appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure timely resident delivery
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, maintaining proper storage and monitoring expiration dates
• Maintain accurate patient and medication records in compliance with facility standards
• Support workflow efficiency within a high-volume environment (approximately 600 prescriptions daily)
• Utilize Frameworks software system, with training provided as necessary

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience required
• New York State Pharmacy Technician license preferred but not mandatory
• PTCB certification is preferred but not required
• Ability to work weekends and evening shifts as scheduled
