A long-term care facility is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to fill a Day Shift Production role. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to work in a closed-door LTC setting with a focus on cross-training in both the dosage department and medication toting.

Location: Yonkers, NY
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medications in appropriate packaging formats such as blister packs and unit-dose for timely delivery to residents.
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.
  • Maintain accurate patient and medication records to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Cross-train between the dosage department and toting responsibilities to support operational flexibility.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
  • NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt using the Frameworks software system (training provided).

This role processes a high volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day and requires strong attention to detail and reliability in medication preparation and record keeping.
