Pharmacy Technician | Yonkers, New York

A healthcare facility specializing in long-term care is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a direct hire day shift position in Yonkers, NY. This role provides a unique opportunity to work in a closed-door LTC environment with cross-training in both the dosage department and medication toting, handling an average volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day.

Location: Yonkers, NY
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose for timely delivery to residents
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, ensuring proper storage and monitoring expiration dates
• Maintain accurate patient and medication records
• Cross-train in both dosage preparation and medication toting using the Frameworks software system (training provided)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
• New York State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required
• PTCB certification preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
