Pharmacy Technician in Yonkers, NY

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to work in a closed-door, long-term care pharmacy setting. The role focuses on day shift production with cross-training in dosage preparation and medication toting. The position is direct hire with an immediate start date.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure timely delivery to residents.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.
• Maintain accurate patient and medication records to support pharmacy operations.
• Support daily pharmacy production to manage an average volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day.
• Utilize pharmacy software systems like Frameworks; training will be provided.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rotating weekend shifts required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience required
• New York State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not mandatory
• PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
• Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple pharmacy functions
