Join a respected 400-bed teaching hospital in North Texas seeking a clinically strong Pharmacist for an immediate opening. This is an excellent fit for a residency-trained pharmacist who enjoys direct clinical involvement, collaborative patient care, and the potential to transition into a permanent long-term role. Responsibilities
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide clinical pharmacy support to physicians, nurses, and care teams
- Review patient medication profiles for safety, interactions, and optimization
- Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic monitoring as needed
- Counsel staff and providers on medication therapies and best practices
- Support medication safety initiatives and regulatory standards
- Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Participate in hospital-wide interdisciplinary rounds when applicable
Work Hours
- 13-week contract assignment with possible temp-to-hire conversion
- Immediate start available
- Variable day and afternoon shifts
- Possible 7-on / 7-off scheduling options
- Full-time hours expected
Experience
- Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
- Strong clinical knowledge and confidence in acute care settings
- Experience in teaching hospitals or larger health systems preferred
- Residency training strongly preferred
- Experience with pharmacokinetics, dosing consults, and clinical interventions preferred
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree required
- PGY1 residency strongly preferred
- Additional clinical training a plus
Other Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacist license required
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Open to contract, temp-to-hire, or permanent placement candidates
