Staff Pharmacist - Anaheim, California

Seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to provide essential support in a dynamic hospital setting. This role starts with full-time hours, transitioning to a PRN schedule, offering an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to make an immediate impact and maintain ongoing involvement.

Responsibilities:

• Perform IV compounding with precision and adherence to safety standards.
• Manage medication distribution efficiently using Pyxis automation systems.
• Conduct accurate filling and restocking of medication supplies.
• Support the pharmacy team in order entry utilizing Paragon/Allscripts systems.
• Collaborate with rotating shifts to ensure seamless patient care coverage.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Proficiency in IV compounding techniques.
• Experience with Pyxis medication automation systems.
• Familiarity with hospital order entry software (Paragon/Allscripts).
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekdays and weekends.

Location:

• Anaheim, CA, serving a licensed bed capacity of 117 with an average daily census of 44.

Schedule:

• Full-time initial commitment: 40 hours/week for approximately 4 weeks.
• Shift rotations include:
  • 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM
  • 12:00 PM to 08:30 PM
  • Weekend shifts: 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM
• Following the initial period, role transitions to PRN coverage as needed.
