Seeking experienced pharmacists for outpatient oncology infusion roles across multiple locations in the Greater Los Angeles area. This contract opportunity requires professionals who can travel between sites including West LA, Santa Monica, and Atascadero. Availability to start promptly is essential, as these positions will fill quickly.

Location:

  • Various UCLA Health outpatient facilities throughout Los Angeles metro area, including West LA, Santa Monica, and Atascadero

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and check intravenous (IV) medications with a focus on oncology infusion treatments
  • Ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 sterile compounding guidelines
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe and effective medication administration
  • Utilize EPIC electronic health records to document and review patient medications
  • Chemotherapy experience is preferred but not mandatory

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid pharmacist license with strong outpatient oncology infusion knowledge
  • Proficiency in USP 797 and 800 standards related to sterile compounding
  • Experience checking and verifying IV medications
  • Familiarity with chemotherapy protocols is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to travel between multiple sites within the Greater LA area
  • Strong references and a thorough skills checklist to demonstrate expertise

This contract role offers a duration of approximately 13 weeks or more with an immediate start. Candidates with reliable transportation and flexibility for site assignments will be prioritized.
