This role involves providing pharmaceutical care across multiple outpatient oncology infusion sites within the Greater Los Angeles area, including campuses in West LA and Santa Monica, as well as Atascadero. Assignments will primarily focus on IV verification and preparation, ensuring compliance with USP 797 and 800 standards. Experience with chemotherapy protocols is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and check intravenous medication preparations, with an emphasis on oncology infusion therapies.
  • Ensure adherence to USP 797 and 800 guidelines for sterile compounding and handling hazardous drugs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication regimens.
  • Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and communication.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and accuracy in medication dispensing.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist with valid licensure to practice in California.
  • Strong background in IV preparation and verification.
  • Knowledge of USP 797 and 800 sterile compounding standards.
  • Experience in oncology pharmacy, particularly chemotherapy, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between multiple healthcare sites within the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, daytime shifts.

Location:

  • Greater Los Angeles metro area, including West LA, Santa Monica, and Atascadero locations.
