An opportunity exists for a licensed Pharmacist to provide essential coverage at a behavioral health facility in Anchorage, AK, supporting a team focused on pediatric and detox behavioral health services. This contract role is ideal for pharmacists with acute care or behavioral health experience looking to contribute immediately within a collaborative clinical setting.

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule/Hours:

  • Mondays 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM weekly
  • August 3rd – 7th, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily
  • Potential additional weekday shifts as needed
  • Weekend shifts are not currently required but on-call support may be requested

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform medication order entry using HCS Web EMR (onsite training provided)
  • Review and verify medications via Omnicell automation platform accessed through Citrix/OCRA Remote Desktop (training included)
  • Conduct drug monitoring and ensure safe medication distribution with pharmacy technician support
  • Maintain compliance with facility protocols within a behavioral health context

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Alaska pharmacist license required
  • Experience in acute care or behavioral health pharmacy preferred
  • Comfort with EMR systems and pharmacy automation technology
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small clinical team

Additional Details and Benefits:

  • Onsite orientation and training provided prior to assignment start

  • Staff includes one full-time pharmacist (Tues-Fri), one full-time pharmacy technician, and medical leadership currently on leave
  • Contract duration: Approximately 8 weeks covering medical director of pharmacy’s leave
  • Travel expenses may be considered for qualified non-local candidates
