Staff Pharmacist - Apple River, IL

An opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist on an 8-week contract in Apple River, Illinois, providing essential support to a retail pharmacy team. This role offers a chance to apply your expertise in medication dispensing and patient counseling while working closely with an experienced pharmacy technician skilled in Pioneer software.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 1st shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately under the supervision of the pharmacy manager, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
• Counsel patients on proper medication usage, side effects, and overall regimen adherence.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints following organizational policies.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and control drug inventories, including proper documentation.
• Collaborate with third-party payers to clarify coverage and resolve any issues impacting patients.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, valid pharmacist license in the state of Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail pharmacy practice.
• Experience using Pioneer pharmacy software is highly desirable but not mandatory.
