Hospital Staff Pharmacist | Arlington Heights, Illinois

A contract opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist at a hospital facility west of downtown Chicago. This role offers hands-on experience in an inpatient hospital setting and requires immediate availability with a start date of June 1 for a 13-week assignment.

Location:

• Arlington Heights, IL area (hospital west of downtown Chicago)

Schedule:

• Day shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties including medication checking and verification
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Check intravenous (IV) admixtures
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and pharmacy workflow

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred
• Strong knowledge of inpatient medication management and safety practices

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois pharmacist license
• Updated resume with explanations for any employment gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist demonstrating relevant competencies
• Two inpatient pharmacy references
• Ability to commit to a return-to-office status upon starting
