Staff Pharmacist in Arvin, CA

A full-time opportunity is available for a Compounding Pharmacist in the Arvin, CA area, with an assignment extending through July 2026 and the potential for permanent placement. This role focuses on sterile and non-sterile compounding within a pharmacy setting, ensuring high-quality medication preparation and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes
• Perform final verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy
• Fill, label, and prepackage medications for dispensing
• Communicate with healthcare providers for order clarifications and refills
• Counsel patients and respond to their medication-related questions
• Ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 standards, and Board of Pharmacy regulations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
• Full-time assignment through July 2026

Desired Qualifications:

• PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy
• Active California Pharmacist license
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience; compounding experience preferred
• Retail pharmacy experience is also considered
• Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage workload and interact with patients and providers
