Pharmacist in Astoria, OR

A small community hospital on the Oregon Coast is seeking a dedicated pharmacist for a 13-week assignment. The role requires full-time availability with day shifts and immediate availability is preferred.

Location:
Oregon Coast (Astoria area)

Schedule:

• Weekdays: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekends: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 10 to 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
• Manage pharmacokinetics to optimize patient therapy
• Consult with physicians and nurses to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Utilize Cerner and Pyxis systems to maintain precise medication records and workflow

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in Oregon (required)
• Experience working in a hospital or similar clinical setting
• Proficiency with Cerner and Pyxis systems preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills for collaboration with healthcare teams
• Ability to work full-time day shifts and adapt to a rural healthcare environment
• Willingness and flexibility to travel and relocate temporarily
