A pharmacy professional is needed for a 13-week assignment at a small community hospital on the Oregon Coast. This role involves working in a small rural hospital environment, providing comprehensive pharmacy services and collaborating closely with healthcare teams.

Location: Astoria, OR
Job Type: Contract (approximately 13 weeks)
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
Schedule:

• Day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM on weekdays)
• Weekend shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• 10 to 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
• Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy and patient care
• Utilize IT systems including Cerner and Pyxis for medication management and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Oregon pharmacist license required
• Experience working in hospital pharmacy settings, ideally within rural or small community hospitals
• Ability to work full-time with flexible availability for required shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with healthcare providers
• Willingness and ability to travel to the assignment location
