Staff Pharmacist - Aurora, CO

This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist position serving inpatient hospital settings in Aurora and Denver, CO. This contract role offers an ASAP start for a 13-week assignment with a focused day-shift schedule. The pharmacist will float between two locations approximately 3 days per week in Aurora and 1-2 days per week in Denver, adapting as business needs evolve.

The role involves key inpatient pharmacy responsibilities including order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, pharmacokinetics monitoring, and active consultation with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.

Schedule and Hours:

• Day shift
• Approximately 36-40 hours per week
• 10-hour shifts on weekdays
• 6-hour shifts on weekends

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Colorado pharmacist license is required
• Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy experience, including hospital or inpatient setting experience
• Strong skills in clinical pharmacy functions and staff supervision
• Effective communication and collaboration with healthcare teams

Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth pharmacy operations
• Monitor pharmacokinetics to optimize medication dosing and safety
• Consult and collaborate with physicians and nurses regarding patient medication management and clinical questions
