This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking a role with a dynamic schedule that includes working across two locations in the Denver metropolitan area. The position involves providing comprehensive inpatient pharmacy support through order verification, technician supervision, pharmacokinetics management, and active collaboration with physicians and nurses to ensure optimal patient care.

Location: Floating between Aurora and Denver, CO (approximately 3 days per week in Aurora and 1-2 days per week in Denver; schedule may adapt to business needs)

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day shift
  • 36 to 40 hours per week
  • Weekdays: 10-hour shifts
  • Weekends: 6-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians
  • Apply pharmacokinetic principles to patient care
  • Consult with medical staff to optimize medication therapies
  • Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies and procedures

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Active Colorado pharmacist license
  • Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy experience, inclusive of hospital practice
  • Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacology
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

This contract opportunity offers a 13-week assignment with an ASAP start date, providing a chance to engage in diverse inpatient pharmacy duties while supporting multiple hospital locations.
