Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Aurora, CO

A retail pharmacy affiliated with a hospital in Haxtun, Colorado, requires a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for per diem coverage from August 24th through August 28th. This role demands a pharmacist prepared to independently manage the pharmacy with confidence and professionalism.

Responsibilities: • Provide patient counseling to ensure safe and effective medication use • Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions • Perform final verifications on all dispensed medications • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, treating the pharmacy as your own • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and quality

Qualifications: • Active and clear Colorado Pharmacist license • Recent experience as a pharmacist; new graduates are welcome to apply • Ability to work independently as the sole pharmacist on-site • Comfortable managing pharmacy operations with minimal immediate supervision

Schedule: • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a one-hour lunch break

Additional Information: This pharmacy team consists of two full-time technicians and a PRN pharmacist who is rarely present, so the pharmacist hired will be the only pharmacist on site. The pharmacy handles approximately 500 prescriptions per week.

Housing: Onsite hospital housing may be available; availability will be confirmed at the time of booking. If onsite housing is unavailable, accommodations will be arranged at a nearby hotel.
