Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Aurora, CO

A retail pharmacy affiliated with a hospital in Haxtun, Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to provide coverage from August 24th through August 28th. This per diem position offers a unique opportunity to manage the pharmacy independently, ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel patients on medication usage and safety
• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions
• Perform final verifications on all dispensed medications
• Manage pharmacy operations as the sole pharmacist on site

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Includes a one-hour lunch break

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and clear Colorado Pharmacist license
• Recent experience practicing as a pharmacist
• Open to new graduates comfortable working independently

Work Environment:

• You will be working alongside two full-time pharmacy technicians and one PRN pharmacist (rarely onsite)
• Approximately 500 prescriptions are filled weekly

Housing:

• Onsite hospital housing may be available; if not, hotel accommodations will be arranged
