A pharmacy team in Aurora, CO is seeking a skilled pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity with potential to convert to full-time employment based on performance. This role requires flexibility to work days and evenings, with shifts starting as early as 7 AM and ending as late as 11 PM, including rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include accepting and dispensing prescription medications while monitoring patient compliance and identifying overusage patterns. You will ensure all medications are supplied in accordance with regulations and verify the suitability of prescribed medicines. Maintaining confidential patient records accurately and managing pharmacy files are key to this position. Patient education is a priority, covering topics such as medication use, side effects, storage, and device handling for tools like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.

Additional duties involve compounding medications, preparing sterile solutions according to protocol, and supervising pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks. You will also maintain inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to identify and address drug-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado pharmacist license in-hand
