A healthcare facility in Aurora, IL is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract starting 3/23. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to inpatient pharmacy services in a dynamic hospital setting, working a 3/3 schedule with a mix of day and evening shifts, including rotating weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties including medication checking and verification
- Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Verify intravenous (IV) admixtures for safety and efficacy
- Work collaboratively with healthcare team utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience required
- Active pharmacy license in Illinois
- Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and processes
- Experience working with EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to supervise support staff
Schedule:
- 3 days on, 3 days off (3/3 schedule)
- Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
This contract assignment requires candidates to have a full profile ready, including an updated resume with explanation of any gaps greater than 30 days, completed skills checklist, two inpatient references, and a copy of Illinois pharmacy license. Candidates should be prepared for a Return to Office (RTO) as required.
