Staff Pharmacist | Bakersfield, California

A full-time Compounding Pharmacist opportunity is available in Bakersfield, CA, offering a contract assignment through July 2026 with the possibility of permanent placement. This role involves overseeing both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, ensuring quality and safety
• Perform final verification of prescriptions
• Fill, label, and prepackage medications accurately
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding orders, clarifications, and refills
• Counsel patients and address their questions professionally
• Ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, 800, and Board of Pharmacy regulations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM

Desired Qualifications:

• PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy
• Active California Pharmacist license
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with compounding experience preferred
• Retail pharmacy experience will be considered
• Strong communication and organizational skills
