Staff Pharmacist | Bakersfield, California

A full-time pharmacology opportunity is available in Bakersfield, CA, for a Compounding Pharmacist on a contract basis through July 2026, with the possibility of permanent placement.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities ensuring accuracy and safety
• Perform final verification of prescriptions prior to dispensing
• Fill, label, and prepackage medications according to established protocols
• Maintain clear communication with healthcare providers for orders, clarifications, and refills
• Counsel patients and address their medication-related questions
• Ensure strict compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 standards and Board of Pharmacy regulations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM

Desired Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Active California Pharmacist license is required
• Three to five years of pharmacy experience, with a preference for compounding background
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings considered a plus
• Strong communication abilities and organizational skills to manage workflow effectively
