An opportunity is available for a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist at a clinic setting affiliated with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This role involves managing daily pharmacy operations with a patient-centered approach in a supportive healthcare environment.

Location: Billings, MT
Schedule: Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians, interns, and students to ensure efficient workflow and quality service.
  • Verify and dispense prescriptions for medications and Durable Medical Equipment (DME), while counseling patients on proper medication use and adherence.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and oversee patient assistance programs, including 340B and ADAP programs.
  • Manage pharmacy operations such as inventory control, prescription records, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and the overall retail workflow.
  • Document patient interactions and medication information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, handle telephone encounters, and apply standing orders appropriately.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support mission-driven pharmacy tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required.
  • Active Montana pharmacist license.
  • Retail pharmacy experience is essential.
  • Prior experience in an FQHC setting and familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy system are highly preferred.
