Pharmacist in Baltimore, MD

A specialty pharmacy focused on behavioral medications is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide full-time coverage during daytime hours in Baltimore, MD. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment serving approximately 100-200 prescriptions daily, utilizing the PioneerRX system, and managing a support team of five pharmacy technicians and one specialty pharmacist.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify prescriptions ensuring compliance with regulations and patient safety
• Provide patient counseling to enhance medication adherence and understanding
• Oversee and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow and quality service
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support specialty pharmacy operations

Qualifications:

• Active, clear Maryland State Pharmacist license with no negative history required
• Previous experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to lead and support a team in a busy pharmacy environment
