Staff Pharmacist - Belleville, Illinois

This role offers an opportunity to provide essential pharmacy services in a dynamic retail setting. The position requires a licensed pharmacist with strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and a commitment to safe medication dispensing.

Location:

• Belleville, IL

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Sunday: Emergency orders only, on-call 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (compensated at $8/hour during on-call)

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescriptions in a timely manner
• Provide patient counseling regarding medications and proper usage
• Handle routine retail pharmacy duties ensuring compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers as needed to clarify prescriptions
• Maintain accurate records and pharmacy inventory management

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois Pharmacy License required
• PharmD degree preferred
• Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This contract position offers 24-30 hours per week, primarily Monday through Saturday with Sunday on-call coverage. Competitive pay is provided based on experience and qualifications.
