Staff Pharmacist in Belleville, IL

A pharmacy position is available for a Staff Pharmacist to provide essential pharmaceutical services on a contract basis in Belleville, Illinois. This role offers a consistent schedule with approximately 24-30 hours per week, focusing on high-quality medication dispensing and patient counseling.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Saturday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
• Sunday: Emergency orders only, on-call from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm with paid on-call hours at $8/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Process prescriptions accurately, including filling, checking, and verifying
• Provide patient counseling to ensure proper medication use
• Handle emergency orders efficiently during Sunday coverage
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support pharmacy operations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy License is required
• PharmD degree is strongly preferred
• Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy system is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment
