Inpatient Staff Pharmacist in Bernalillo, NM

An inpatient overnight pharmacist position is available in Bernalillo, NM, supporting both Women’s and Westside campuses with a focus on hospital inpatient pharmacy care. This contract role offers a 7-on/7-off schedule covering the 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM shift, starting on September 28 for a 13-week duration. Candidates can be first-time travelers, and a New Mexico pharmacist license is required; applicants with a pending license application may also be considered as NM licenses typically post within 10 days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and verify medication orders accurately in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and effective pharmacotherapy.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation and communication.
• Support pharmacy services across both Women’s and Westside campuses as needed during the overnight shift.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in inpatient pharmacy practice.
• Active New Mexico pharmacist license or proof of pending application.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system preferred.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts on a rotating 7-on/7-off schedule.
• Adaptability to serve multiple hospital campuses.
