Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Biddeford, ME

A healthcare facility specializing in ambulatory infusion therapy is seeking a PRN Staff Pharmacist to provide clinical pharmacy support on a recurring basis. This role involves working within an infusion therapy clinic focused on IV and infusion services for patients managing acute and chronic medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
• Perform sterile compounding and ensure cleanroom operations comply with standards
• Safely dispense medications and infusion-related supplies
• Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records in accordance with federal and state regulations
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality operations
• Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide coverage for fellow pharmacists as needed

Schedule:

• Approximately 2 days per month with flexible scheduling options
• Additional PRN coverage available based on operational needs

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacist License in Maine, in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience required; 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding required
• Familiarity with USP 797 sterile compounding standards essential
• Strong communication, multitasking, time management, and critical-thinking abilities
