A pharmacy professional is needed to support and oversee daily retail pharmacy operations in a clinic setting. This per diem role is based in Billings, MT, working within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment and utilizing the PioneerRx system.

Location:
Billings, Montana

Schedule:

  • Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and students while ensuring accurate verification and dispensing of prescriptions for medications and Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
  • Conduct Drug Utilization Reviews (DURs), provide patient counseling, and promote safe medication use and adherence
  • Maintain integrity and regulatory compliance of patient assistance programs, including 340B and ADAP
  • Manage pharmacy operations such as point-of-sale systems, inventory control, prescription records, and daily workflow
  • Document activities in the electronic health record (EHR), handle telephone encounters, and apply standing orders with precision
  • Support training initiatives for pharmacy staff, assist in identifying process improvements, and contribute to mission-aligned tasks as necessary

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy or related field
  • Valid Montana pharmacist license
  • Experience in retail pharmacy operations required
  • Preferred experience in an FQHC setting and familiarity with PioneerRx system strongly desired
