Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Binghamton, New York

An opportunity is available for a Full-Time Floating Pharmacist to support retail pharmacy operations in Vestal, NY. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist who thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated to deliver excellent patient care while ensuring efficient pharmacy management.

Location: Vestal, NY
Setting: Retail Pharmacy
Position Type: Permanent
Hours: 36 hours bi-weekly
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to control inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profitability.
• Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and dispense medications and medical compounds, including prescription and non-prescription products.
• Provide expert advice to self-medicating patients and maintain communication with healthcare providers and insurance professionals.
• Administer patient immunizations regularly to promote community health.
• In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, oversee scheduling, performance recognition, discipline, and work assignments for pharmacy staff to maintain operational efficiency and meet business objectives.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
• Current and valid New York State Pharmacist License.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and patient counseling.
• Ability to take initiative and lead pharmacy associates when needed.
