Inpatient Staff Pharmacist - Bixby, OK

An opportunity is available for experienced inpatient pharmacists to support a 450-bed hospital with a strong focus on patient care and pharmacy services. This 13-week contract position is ideal for pharmacists with at least two years of inpatient experience, including IV preparation and supervision of pharmacy technicians.

Location: Bixby, OK

Schedule:

• 4 shifts per week
• 10-hour shifts from 12:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
• Days/Evenings

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties, including medication preparation and verification
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee IV admixture preparation (both hands-on and verification)
• Utilize EMR system EPIC for documentation and medication orders
• Operate automation systems including Pyxis and Carousel to ensure medication safety and efficiency

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience required
• Prior experience with IV preparation and inpatient clinical workflow
• Current, active pharmacist license in Oklahoma
• BLS certification
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system and pharmacy automation tools such as Pyxis and Carousel
• Willingness to accept first-time travelers; local candidates within 75 miles will not be considered
