Staff Pharmacist | Black Hawk, South Dakota

A retail pharmacist opportunity is available for a 13+ week contract assignment in South Dakota, providing up to 40 hours per week at a grocery store-based pharmacy. This role is ideal for those with recent retail pharmacy experience who are licensed in South Dakota and excel in patient service and communication.

Location:

• South Dakota (Retail pharmacy inside a grocery store)

Schedule:

• Up to 40 hours per week
• Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescriptions to ensure patient safety
• Review and check pharmacy technician work for accuracy
• Deliver effective patient counseling on medications and health-related concerns
• Manage pharmacy and patient phone calls promptly and professionally
• Assist with daily retail pharmacy operations to maintain smooth workflow
• Support the Pharmacist-in-Charge with additional duties as required

Qualifications:

• Active South Dakota Pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
• Strong communication skills focused on excellent patient service
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with pharmacy team members
