A 13-week opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support a 100-bed community hospital in Southern Oregon. This contract travel role offers a dynamic work environment where you’ll play a critical role in medication management and patient care within an inpatient setting.
Location: Klamath Falls, OR
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Variable days and afternoon shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and maintaining workflow
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to individualize patient care
- Utilize EPIC for electronic health records and Pyxis for medication dispensing systems
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience
- Full-time availability to meet scheduling needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a hospital pharmacy environment with evolving demands
