A retail HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to cover a 16-week maternity leave, starting August 24th. This role includes a 2-week training period alongside the current PIC before independently managing the single-pharmacist site in Orlando, FL. The pharmacist will be responsible for handling a volume of 20-30 prescriptions daily without the assistance of a pharmacy technician, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense and review HIV/AIDS medications with accuracy and care
- Provide high-level patient support and ensure clear communication with both patients and healthcare providers
- Manage the pharmacy independently, maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures
- Participate in ongoing training and support after the initial orientation period
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-year experience in retail pharmacy
- Specific experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing (must be clearly noted on the resume)
- Florida pharmacist license (active and in good standing)
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is highly preferred
- Dependable and committed to daily attendance without remote time off during the contract
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
Additional Information:
- This role requires working without a pharmacy technician; candidates must be comfortable with this setup.
- The client provides continuous training and support once the pharmacist is fully onboarded.
- No call-outs or time off allowed during the contract period due to the single-pharmacist model.
