Staff Pharmacist | Bronx, New York

A retail pharmacy in the Bronx is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join their team on a 13-week contract-to-hire basis. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to work in a well-structured, supportive environment with a manageable prescription volume and a friendly staff.

The role offers a 4x10 schedule with no weekend shifts, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9am to 7pm. You will be part of a small, dedicated team consisting of three pharmacy technicians, one delivery person, and a store manager, ensuring a collaborative and efficient workflow. The pharmacy fills approximately 200 prescriptions per day, providing a balanced and steady pace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately checking and verifying prescriptions to ensure patient safety and compliance
• Utilizing the BestRx system to manage prescription processing (training available if needed)
• Collaborating effectively with pharmacy technicians and management staff

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear New York pharmacist license
• Local candidates preferred to ensure prompt availability
• Retail pharmacy experience is preferred but new graduates with enthusiasm to learn are encouraged
• Familiarity with BestRx system is a plus; however, training will be provided
