A specialty pharmacy is seeking two experienced pharmacists to support their operations focusing on rare and orphan drugs for patients with complex conditions. Contract Details:
- Duration: 13 weeks with possible contract-to-hire transition
- Shift: Monday through Friday, daytime hours
- Start: Immediate placement desired
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage dispensing and clinical support of high-cost, rare, and orphan drugs
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and patients to facilitate prior authorizations, approvals, and access programs
- Assist with complex payment solutions, including grants, rebates, and insurance strategies
- Utilize McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system for specialty pharmacy functions
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical guidelines in specialty pharmacy operations
- Provide high-touch communication to support patient adherence and outcomes
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active pharmacy license in Arizona, current and in good standing
- Proven specialty pharmacy experience (retail specialty or specialty mail order); purely retail pharmacy experience will not be considered
- Familiarity with rare disease states and corresponding treatment protocols a strong advantage
- Strong clinical expertise coupled with excellent communication skills to manage provider and patient interactions effectively
- Experience with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) is preferred
