Employment Type: Direct Hire, Permanent

Work Hours: Variable Day and Afternoon Shifts, 40 hours per week

Industry: Healthcare / Hospital Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense medications accurately including dosing, labeling, IV admixtures, and controlled substances
• Monitor patient profiles for drug interactions, allergies, and resolve medication related issues proactively
• Provide drug information and clinical support to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
• Perform sterile compounding in compliance with USP 797 guidelines including IV admixture preparation
• Support core pharmacy operations including inventory management, regulatory compliance, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace
• Contribute to departmental quality and safety initiatives

Experience

• PGY1 residency or strong inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
• Sterile compounding and IV admixture experience required
• Experience in a central pharmacy distribution role preferred

Skills

• Strong attention to detail in medication verification and dispensing
• Effective communicator with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Comfortable working variable day and afternoon shifts
• Committed to patient safety and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Active New York Pharmacist License required

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy required
