Staff Pharmacist - Buellton, California

A contract opportunity is available for a California-licensed pharmacist with hospital experience to provide pharmacy services in a healthcare facility on the Coast. This role involves supporting acute care and long-term care patient populations in a dynamic environment.

Location: Buellton, CA
Duration: 13 weeks with an ASAP start
Schedule: Variable days/afternoons, 4 shifts per week of 10 hours each

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with attention to detail and accuracy
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies
• Apply pharmacokinetics principles to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize the Altera Sunrise IT system (training provided) to support pharmacy operations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current California pharmacist license is mandatory
• Recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred to handle acute and long-term care settings
• Ability to adapt to variable shifts and a flexible schedule
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration

Additional Details:

• This assignment includes an opportunity for an auto-offer on March 30
• Training on the proprietary Altera Sunrise system will be provided
• Position supports approximately 60 acute care beds and over 100 long-term care beds
