This opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist ready to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. This 13-week contract position requires flexibility with shifts rotating between 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., or 11:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m., including weekends.

Responsibilities:
- Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and detect overuse patterns.
- Ensure medication supply adherence to legal requirements.
- Verify that prescribed medicines are suitable for patients.
- Maintain confidential and accurate patient records.
- Advise patients on medication usage, possible side effects, and answer their questions.
- Provide consultations on both prescription and over-the-counter medications regarding dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Deliver patient services including smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols.
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
- Maintain proper pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory.
- Collaborate with healthcare practitioners to identify and address drug-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota pharmacist license required.
- Retail pharmacy experience is preferred but new retail pharmacists will be considered and trained.
- Strong communication and supervisory skills.
